Receptionist

St. John Paul II Catholic High School

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision of the Director of Admissions the Receptionist is responsible for maintaining a good relationship with the students, parents, faculty and staff members.

Status:

Grade 2, Non- Exempt,12A. 40 hours per week

Usual Hours are 7:45 am-4:15 pm

Reports to Director of Admissions

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Welcomes all visitors with care and maintains a welcoming front desk

Welcomes prospective students

Receives parents and visitors for appointments and maintains Guest log

Monitors front door to ensure safety

Answers phones and handles all calls as appropriate

Organizes and maintains mailroom/workcenter and Lunchroom

Maintains the main lobby and Holy Family Room

Receives mail and/or deliveries from USPS, UPS, DHL and FedEx and distributes mail

Coordinates the Safe Environment Training for the school, keeping track of the requirements and communication to faculty, staff, students and volunteers.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Bilingual:

able to speak both English and Spanish

Ability to communicate with kindness

Able to answer telephones and greet visitors

Ability to maintain confidentiality required

Professional appearance and demeanor required

Ability to work with others in a collaborative environment

Ability to work cooperatively with others utilizing effective interpersonal communication skills

Able to lift and move boxes and materials Must possess a strong desire to serve

First Aid Certified
