Job Description

We are a very busy pain management clinic and we are looking for someone who is
POSITIVE, HAPPY, ENERGETIC AND MOTIVATED.
We need someone who can function as both the check in and check out person while also evolving into other roles in the office. Candidate must be able to multi-task. Having experience in a medical practice is preferred. We use a medical record system called MDSynergy/Althea. Computer proficiency and good typing skills is a must. The front office staff is the first point of contact for patients. The front office staff is responsible for greeting patients, scheduling appointments, completing administrative processing, record keeping, etc. The front office staff will provide
EXCELLENT
customer service. Responsibilities and Duties Front office duties are but not limited to: Provide office support to front office staff in order to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of office flow. Check patients in and out Efficient patient scheduling; schedules all appointments upon check out. (Procedure scheduling as well) Maintain and keep an updated scanning/filing system Have an understanding of insurance referral processes Provide word-processing and secretarial support Ability to multi-task and execute delegated duties Opens the office and ensures the front office is in order. Distributes and obtains appropriate forms, including new patient information, insurance information, and HIPAA information for all patients.
Accounting functions:
Collects and records payments, copayments, coinsurances, etc. Balance batch at the end of each work day.
Miscellaneous Duties:
Ability to cross-train into other positions within the office. Ability to do authorizations for medication refills, procedures, etc is a plus. Knowledge of a pain management practice is also a plus, but not necessary. Maintains an attractive and welcoming office environment. Establishes and maintains good public relations. Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned. Exercises confidentiality as it relates to all business and patient information.
