This role provides courteous and efficient support by welcoming patients, coordinating appointments, verifying insurance information, managing incoming calls, and assisting with referrals to ensure a seamless and positive patient experience across all HealthyU Clinics service lines. This position requires travel throughout the West, East, and Central Valley regions of Phoenix to provide coverage and operational support at multiple clinic locations. Candidates must be willing and able to travel as needed. Mileage reimbursement will be provided in accordance with HealthyU Clinics policy.
Key responsibilities include:
Greet and check in patients for both in-person and telemedicine appointments, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment Manage patient scheduling and coordinate accurate appointment booking Verify insurance coverage and efficiently process patient paperwork across all HealthyU service lines Perform front office chart preparation and maintain oversight of front office logs and petty cash Collect copays, outstanding balances, and deductibles accurately and efficiently Collaborate with the billing department to ensure accurate patient balances and account resolution Answer incoming phone calls and address patient inquiries in a professional and timely manner Assist with patient referrals, authorizations, and follow-up appointment coordination Maintain compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, Value-Based Care standards, and HealthyU Clinics policies and procedures Support clinic operations by providing coverage and assistance at multiple Valley locations as needed Perform all other duties as assigned Highschool Diploma or equivalent A minimum of 1 year experience as a medical receptionist or front desk Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required Strong computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, EHR systems, scheduling systems) Athena Experience highly preferred Excellent communication and multitasking abilities Prolonged sitting, standing, bending, and occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs) Reliable transportation is required for all positions, as occasional travel to other clinic locations may be necessary HealthyU Clinics is a value-based healthcare organization committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across multiple states and specialties.
