VETERINARY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR POSITION.

Integrative Veterinary Oncology (IVO) offers both eastern and western approaches to cancer treatment in dogs and cats including surgery, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, acupuncture, herbal medicine, ozone and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. We also see non-cancer patients for alternative therapies. IVO also has a thriving foster program for dogs and cats and works closely with area rescue groups and the county shelters to provide care for injured or sick stray animals. IVO is a high volume practice and desired candidate must be able to multi-task and thrive in a high stress environment. The desired candidate should be empathetic and compassionate as many of our patients are terminal and in need of end of life care. Duties include but are not limited to: answering phone calls and scheduling new consultation appointments, collecting payment for services and scheduling recheck appointments, organizing and filing patient charts, calling owners regarding test results, routine cleaning of facility and care of foster animals. Hours are weekdays on a 4 day, 10 hour shift from 7a-5p with Thursdays off. All staff are trained in care of the foster and clinic animals on the weekends, but are only asked to fill in as needed if the part-time weekend staff are unavailable. Weekend shifts are paid at the employee's hourly rate of pay. Overtime is paid at 1.5 times the employee's hourly rate.
