We're looking for someone to join our team as a Receptionist-DENT Float who:

This position serves as a focal point for the appointment system at the Dental Clinic and is the principal staff member responsible for the smooth flow of patients throughout the Clinics various services. The Receptionist makes appointments for the patients needs according to written protocols and directs patient to appropriate providers. The Receptionist assures that the time for the day is well scheduled for all providers. This position requires an individual who can function independently, who can prioritize activities, and who will respect the confidentiality of our patients problems. The Float Receptionist will be assigned to a primary site, however, will float to other sites within the same county as needed for coverage, sometimes with no advance notice provided.
Essential Functions:
Greet and register patients as they come in.

Verify insurance eligibility and/or income, to determine fee schedule.

Check patients in and follow protocol to notify back office Make appointments for patients according to written protocols.

Perform preliminary needs assessment of walk-in patients and schedule them for a work-in appointment according to written protocols.

Answer and direct all incoming calls.

Review daily route slips for accurate posting and billingConfirm next day appointments. Take patients payments and record accordinglyScan documents as neededFollow properly daily deposit proceduresReasonable and predictable in person attendance. Perform other duties as required. You'll be successful with the following qualifications:

Must be High School graduate or an equivalent completion of the 12th grade. At least 18 years of age.

A minimum of two years experience in a healthcare setting is preferredKnowledge of community; skilled in communicating with people and understanding their problems.

Must believe in health care with dignity for all.

Valid CA driver license.

Maintain a clean driving record.

Maintain active auto insurance.
