Job Description

Starting Pay:
$17.00
  • $18.00 per hour, depending on experience and training

  • We are a professional, fast-growing real estate and property management company in California City, California.
We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented, and proactive Receptionist/Assistant Property Manager to be the face of our office while providing critical support to our property management and sales teams.
What You'll Do:
  • Front Desk & Reception Duties
  • Greet and welcome visitors, clients, tenants, vendors, and sales agents in a professional and friendly manner
  • Answer and direct all incoming calls on a multi-line phone system; take and distribute messages accurately
  • Respond to rental inquiries and direct prospective tenants to frontierres.com
  • Handle emergency maintenance calls and create corresponding work orders
  • Verify tenant and vendor payments
  • Maintain office supply inventory and place orders as needed
  • Keep the reception area and office clean, organized, and presentable
  • Open and close the office (Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM)
  • Perform general clerical tasks (filing, scanning, copying, mailing, data entry, etc.)
  • Provide administrative support to sales agents and property management staff
  • Assistant Property Manager Duties (under direct supervision of the Property Manager)
  • Process and track maintenance requests; enter detailed notes and updates in AppFolio
  • Communicate job status with tenants through the AppFolio portal
  • Follow up with vendors and tenants as needed
  • Obtain and review contractor invoices, inspect completed work when required.
  • Coordinate and conduct move-ins: meet new tenants at the property, provide move-in checklist, take photos, upload to AppFolio and shared drive, collect first month's rent, and issue keys
  • Coordinate and conduct move-outs: take post-vacancy photos, upload to drive and AppFolio, collect keys
  • Meet vendors/contractors at properties to grant access for unit turns and repairs
  • Post notices at properties as directed by the Property Manager
  • Assist with additional tasks assigned by the Property Manager, Office Supervisor, Property Manager Assitants, Owners, or Administration
  • What We're Looking For (Required):
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation (required for property visits)
  • Strong desire and commitment to obtain a California Real Estate License within 12 months of hire
  • (company will provide support, resources, and paid training)
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical tasks at properties when needed
  • Professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a receptionist, administrative assistant, or in property management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quick learner for AppFolio software
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
