In person Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. Previous experience working in a veterinary hospital or veterinary clinic is required. Experience using ezyVet is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, organized, and able to remain calm and professional in a busy veterinary environment . This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask efficiently , including managing phone calls, appointments, client questions, emails, and front desk responsibilities at the same time. We are looking for someone who maintains a calm demeanor, communicates respectfully with clients and coworkers, and can stay organized even during busy or stressful periods. As one of the first points of contact for our clients, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and professional experience for both clients and their pets. Responsibilities Greet clients and patients in a friendly and professional manner Answer incoming phone calls and assist with general client questions Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments Efficiently manage multiple tasks and client requests at the same time Communicate appointment information and hospital policies clearly to clients Check clients and patients in and out of the hospital Process payments and provide invoices or estimates as directed Maintain accurate client and patient information in ezyVet Manage emails, voicemail, prescription requests, and other client communications Relay medical questions and client concerns to the appropriate veterinary team member Recognize potentially urgent concerns and promptly alert the veterinary medical team Coordinate prescription and medication pickup requests according to veterinarian instructions and hospital protocols Communicate effectively with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and other team members Maintain a calm, professional, and respectful demeanor when interacting with clients and coworkers Maintain confidentiality of client and patient information Keep the reception and waiting areas clean, organized, and professional Assist with general administrative duties and office supplies as needed Provide compassionate and professional service, including during emotionally difficult situations Perform other front desk duties as needed to support hospital operations Qualifications Previous veterinary receptionist or veterinary hospital experience is required Experience using ezyVet is strongly preferred Previous front desk and customer service experience Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment Calm, professional, and respectful demeanor Strong verbal and written communication skills Professional and courteous telephone manner Strong organizational skills Ability to remain composed and communicate professionally during busy or stressful situations Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team Comfortable using computers, email, phone systems, and veterinary practice management software Strong attention to detail and accuracy when entering client and patient information Introductory & Training Period All new employees begin with an approximately 30-day introductory and training period . During this time, the employee will receive training on hospital procedures, responsibilities, and workflow while performance, reliability, communication, ability to multitask, and overall suitability for the position are assessed. The goal of this period is to make sure the position is a good fit for both the employee and the hospital. Schedule Day shifts Approximately 8-hour shifts Weekend availability may be required Full-time and part-time positions may be considered Compensation $18.00- 21.00 per hour , depending on veterinary experience and qualifications.
