Job Description

Receptionist/Assistant Primary Function The Receptionist/Front Desk position performs routine clerical, secretarial and administrative work in answering telephones, receiving the public, providing customer assistance, data processing, and record-keeping. Major Responsibilities Greets clients and public and connecting them with the appropriate party. Answers the phone in a timely manner and direct calls to the correct departments and persons. Develops and maintains office forms and procedures, assists with administrative tasks including composing, typing and editing correspondence, reports, memoranda and other material. Provides office coordination such as, ordering office supplies, outlook calendars, bank deposits, etc. Skills, Qualifications, and Knowledge
  • High School graduate or GED
  • Organized, ability to establish priorities, multi-task, work independently, and proceed with objectives with minimal to no supervision
  • Communicates proficiently
  • Knowledge of modern office procedures and methods, including telephone communication, office systems, and record keeping
  • Skills to use personal computer and various software packages
  • Ability to manage stress efficiently
  • Ability to handle and resolve problems
  • Ability to maintain an orderly work environment
  • Ability to anticipate supply needs and plan accordingly
  • Must be able to work with and without supervision Other Information Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. Physical Demands Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% 75%. The person in this position needs to move 10-20lb boxes onto shelves. Must occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. The person in this position frequently communicates with customers and other staff who have inquiries. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. Have the ability to learn technical material. Employment Verification Background check may be required. I-9 Completion required Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8AM-5PM. Maybe asked to work some weekends and some overtime hours. Travel No travel is expected for this position.
