We are seeking someone who is friendly, professional, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a busy office setting. The ideal candidate should be a quick learner, dependable, and able to work independently while providing excellent customer service to our patients.
Responsibilities:
Answer incoming phone calls and promptly return voicemail messages. Schedule and coordinate patient appointments for 2-3 physicians. Perform patient check-in and check-out procedures. Verifying insurance information. Collecting copayments and patient balances. Posting and processing payments. Organize, scan, and upload patient records and chart notes into the Athenahealth electronic medical records (EMR) system. Obtain insurance authorizations for office visits and medical procedures. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with office procedures. Communicate professionally and effectively with patients, providers, and staff both in person and over the phone. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming office environment.
Qualifications:
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and medical insurance is required. Knowledge of insurance verification and authorization processes. Strong communication and customer service skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other basic office software. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced medical office. We look forward to hearing from you!
