Job Description

MacGinnis Orthodontics is seeking a Front Office Receptionist for our practice in Fullerton, CA! The ideal candidate will be a team worker and be someone who loves to learn and take on new challenges! The ideal candidate will demonstrate great communication both verbal and written, excellent customer skills both in person and over the phone, exemplary problem-solving ability, and be a growth and advancement minded individual. As a Front Office Receptionist, you must also be proficient with Microsoft office, Orth2Edge - Ortho2 and/or related software! Job Duties/Responsibilities Welcome patients and families and provide a warm, professional experience from check-in through check-out. Answer incoming calls, texts, and patient inquiries promptly and professionally. Schedule and confirm appointments while helping maintain an efficient and productive orthodontic schedule. Assist new patients with scheduling consultations and answer general questions about the practice and services. Verify insurance benefits and assist patients with understanding insurance coverage and financial information. Collect and accurately post patient payments. Follow up with patients regarding appointments, outstanding balances, required paperwork, and other necessary information. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation. Help manage patient flow and communicate effectively with the clinical team throughout the day. Support new-patient conversion efforts and ensure prospective patients receive timely and appropriate follow-up. Assist with additional front-office, administrative, and patient-support responsibilities as needed. Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or Equivalent 2+ years of ortho experience Leadership skills and a happy, personable persona. Extensive knowledge of office management procedures. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, and Ortho2Edge - Ortho2 software or related software. Excellent Leadership skills Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality Ability to demonstrate initiative and promptness. Ability to encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members Ability to explain dental conditions consequences of treatment & non-treatment, financial options, dental benefits in an easy-to-understand manner for the patient.
