Ideal candidate must also be a team player, able to multitask, and be able to handle a fast paced practice. You will be responsible to coordinate scheduling, occasional treatment planning, and checking patients in and out. As a front office coordinator, you create the first impression and a lasting impression for each patient, whether in person or on the phone. Responsibilities:
  • Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answer incoming phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual
  • Schedule patient appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and collect necessary information
  • Assist with patient check-in and check-out process
  • Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of information
  • Handle patient inquiries, resolve issues, and provide exceptional customer service
  • Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working in a dental office or medical setting is preferred
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
  • Proficiency in operating phone systems and handling multiple phone lines
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Familiarity with front desk operations and medical scheduling software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Epic, eClinicalWorks)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
