Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized, motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our medical practice as a Front Office/Back Office Assistant. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of both the front and back ends of our practice, providing essential support to our healthcare team and delivering exceptional patient care experiences.
Responsibilities:
1. Greeting patients with professionalism and warmth, ensuring a positive first impression. 2. Managing patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently, including verifying insurance information and collecting payments. 3. Scheduling appointments and coordinating with healthcare providers to optimize patient flow. 4. Answering phone calls, responding to inquiries, and directing calls to the appropriate personnel. 5. Maintaining a clean and organized front desk area, ensuring all necessary forms and supplies are readily available. 6. Assist staff with administrative tasks, such as pulling patient charts, filing, photocopying, scanning, and faxing. 7. Assisting patients with completing required paperwork and obtaining necessary signatures. 8. Managing medical records, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with regulations. 9. Preparing examination rooms and ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies. 10. Assisting with medical billing, insurance verification, authorization, and coding tasks as required. 11. Maintaining equipment and ensuring it is properly cleaned and sterilized.
Requirements:
1. High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical assisting preferred. 2. Prior experience in a medical office setting preferred. 3. Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor when interacting with patients. 4. Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic computer skills. 5. Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. 6. Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and HIPAA regulations. 7.
