Job Summary AJ Tutoring Weekend Receptionist, Palo Alto Hours:
16 hours/week (Saturday-Sunday 8am-5pm). Extra 4 hours of "flex time" available during the weekday optionally.

Hourly, starting at $20-$22/hr We are currently seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Weekend Receptionist to help us create a great customer experience for AJ students, parents, and team members; and provide administrative support to the AJ Team. Our ideal candidate has a "can do" attitude and knows how to keep operations running smoothly. Although experience working in administration is preferred; personality, passion for education, and organizational skills are the most essential characteristics that we are looking for . We will train you, share all of the things you might need to know, and answer any questions you may have. In addition, you will be a part of an entire network of offices, each staffed with AJ team members committed to the success of the organization. $18.00 to $20.00 /hour
Responsibilities and Duties Clerical:
answer phones, process mail as needed, maintain office inventory, and communicate when supplies run low (e.g., books, candy, and drinks) as needed.
Customer Service:
manage reception area, answer all phone calls, greet families as well as tutors, and manage the tutor-student flow into and out of tutoring spaces
Collaborative:
provide general assistance to the tutoring, sales, class instructors, and leadership teams, as well as serve as the eyes and ears of the company while being particularly mindful of and attentive to employee morale. Qualifications and Skills In-depth knowledge and demonstrated proficiency with computer technologies including: Google (Gmail, Google Drive) and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), etc. Excellent professional judgment corroborated by references. Analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent organizational skills. Strong oral and written communication skills as well as effective verbal and listening communication skills. Flexible, entrepreneurial, and able to work in a fast-changing environment Ability to think, plan and execute resourcefully, across multiple tasks. High school or equivalent required. (Four year college degree is desired, but not required.) Prior administrative assistant experience is desired, but not required. We will train the right candidate. Entry-level and re-entry candidates welcome! Willingness to commit to at least one year with AJ Tutoring (Please note that we are looking for a long term hire - so if you are just looking for a quick 'in-between' job this is not the right one.)
