Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their beloved animals, providing exceptional customer service while managing the administrative tasks of our veterinary practice. Your passion for animal care and strong communication skills will help create a welcoming environment for both clients and their pets. Duties Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and professional atmosphere. Schedule appointments, manage the calendar, and confirm upcoming visits. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care. Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed. Process payments and manage billing inquiries efficiently. Assist veterinary staff with animal restraint during examinations or treatments as necessary. Provide information to clients regarding animal husbandry, grooming, and basic pet care. Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies. Handle any client concerns or complaints with empathy and professionalism. Requirements Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting required. Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology to communicate effectively with staff and clients. Familiarity with animal handling techniques and basic animal care practices. Skills in animal restraint to assist during examinations or procedures safely. Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service. A background in equine care or dog training is a plus but not mandatory.
