Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Vet Receptionist to join our dynamic veterinary team! In this vital role, you will be the friendly first point of contact for pet owners and visitors, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from the moment they walk through our doors. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help coordinate appointments, manage client communications, and support the veterinary staff with essential administrative tasks. Duties Greet clients and their pets warmly, creating a positive and professional first impression Schedule appointments, follow-up visits, and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently Handle medical collections accurately and process payments with care Maintain detailed client records, including pet histories, vaccination records, and treatment plans Support veterinary critical care by coordinating urgent cases and communicating effectively with veterinary technicians and veterinarians Manage laboratory documentation, including sample labeling and data entry for diagnostic tests Ensure cleanliness of reception area and assist with kennel organization to promote animal husbandry standards Use veterinary terminology accurately when communicating with clients or staff about animal health issues Support aseptic techniques during sample collection or minor procedures as directed by veterinary staff Experience Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal shelter is highly preferred Knowledge of animal anatomy, restraint techniques, and pet grooming practices is beneficial Familiarity with veterinary critical care procedures and laboratory processes enhances your effectiveness in this role Hands-on experience with dog handling, animal restraint, and pet care is essential for providing excellent customer service Experience in kennel management or animal husbandry contributes to understanding daily animal needs Strong communication skills with an understanding of veterinary terminology are necessary for clear client interactions Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Join us to be part of a passionate team committed to delivering exceptional pet care!
