    This position is a classified position. Compensation is commensurate with experience and aligned with the scope of the role: $22.86 / hr (entry-level / no experience)

Position:
Eagle Ridge Academy is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and service-oriented professional to serve as our Front Office Receptionist. This individual plays a vital role as the first point of contact for students, families, staff, and community members, setting the tone for a welcoming, safe, and positive school environment. The Receptionist is a collaborative team member who builds strong relationships and exemplifies Eagle Ridge Academy's commitment to being welcoming, respectful, and student-centered . This role requires a self-starter who can manage multiple priorities with professionalism, discretion, and efficiency, while maintaining a calm and solutions-oriented approach in a fast-paced school setting. The Front Office Receptionist ensures the smooth and efficient operation of the school office by managing daily front desk responsibilities, supporting student and staff needs, and facilitating clear communication between families and school personnel. This position is essential in creating a positive experience for all stakeholders and helping our school community stay connected, informed, and supported.
Key Responsibilities Front Office Operations & Customer Service:
Serve as the primary point of contact for students, families, staff, and visitors, creating a welcoming, professional, and supportive front office environment. Manage front desk operations, including answering phones, greeting visitors, directing inquiries, and maintaining a secure and organized reception area. Support daily office operations to ensure efficiency, organization, and responsiveness to school needs.
Student Support & Front Office Systems:
Facilitate student check-in and check-out processes in accordance with school procedures. Support student needs related to IDs, lockers, and parking permits. Operate and manage the student and staff badge system, including creation and distribution of badges. Assist in maintaining accurate records related to student front office interactions and systems. Supervision & Student Engagement Provide supervision of Teaching Assistants (TAs) and students assigned to the front office area. Support a positive and respectful environment that aligns with Eagle Ridge Academy's core values. Model professionalism and appropriate workplace behaviors for students working in or visiting front office. Registrar & Administrative Support Provide support to the Registrar, including assisting families and students with Infinite Campus (IC) portal access and password resets. Support student application inquiries and provide guidance to prospective families as needed. Assist with general administrative tasks that support enrollment, registration, and records processes. Office Operations, Inventory, & Logistics Receive, check, and distribute deliveries and orders, ensuring accuracy and completion. Maintain and manage front office supplies and inventory, including ordering and restocking as needed. Support organization and efficiency of office systems and processes. Health & Safety Support Serve as a backup to the Health Aide as needed, supporting student health needs in alignment with school protocols. Help maintain a safe and secure front office environment by following the school safety procedures and visitor protocols. Family & Community Engagement Provide a welcoming and helpful experience for all families and community members interacting with the school. Support interpretation and translation services for families when bilingual skills are needed. Serve as a connector between the school and community, ensuring all stakeholders feel supported and informed.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma required Commitment to creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive school environment for all students. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, staff, and the community Effective oral and written communication skills Basic computer proficiency, including word processing and general office software Ability to operate standard office Equipment (phones, copiers, printers, etc.) Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment Basic mathematical and data entry skills with attention to accuracy Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and sound judgment in all interactions Physical ability to perform essential job functions, including sitting for extended periods, and the ability to see, hear, and speak effectively in a typical office environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's Degree or higher preferred Previous experience as a school receptionist or in a similar front office/customer service role Experience with computerized database systems (e.g., student information systems such as Infinite Campus) Bilingual skills (Spanish preferred) to support communication with diverse families Demonstrated success contributing to a positive school culture and fostering strong relationships within a school community
