Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly organized, customer-focused Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for guests, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include managing phone systems, handling reservations, coordinating with housekeeping, and delivering exceptional service to every guest. Responsibilities Greet and welcome visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor, creating a positive first impression. Manage incoming calls using a phone system, ensuring proper phone etiquette at all times and directing calls appropriately. Maintain an organized filing system for in-house reservations and guest records. Assist with management duties, including booking and managing reservations, processing check-ins and check-outs efficiently. Handle inquiries from guests and provide hotel information, local recommendations, and directions as needed. Coordinate with other departments (e.g., housekeeping, maintenance) to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction. Set up and maintain the hotel's complimentary breakfast area, ensuring cleanliness, restocking supplies, and assisting guests as needed. Process payments, issue room keys, and handle cash/credit transactions accurately. Monitor lobby areas to ensure a clean, welcoming environment at all times. Assist with light administrative tasks such as printing, data entry, and filing. Set up breakfast Respond to guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, escalating issues when necessary. Qualifications Proven experience as a receptionist, front desk representative, or similar administrative role preferred. Strong management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in using phone systems and a reservation software Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests, staff, and management professionally. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of customer service. Ability to maintain confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism at all times. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or hospitality training a plus. Basic math skills for handling cash, billing, and guest payments accurately.
