Veterinary Receptionist - Experienced

Broward Avian Exotic Animal Hospital in Deerfield Beach, FL, is growing! We are looking for a veterinary customer care specialist to join our 15-person strong team. We are located at 3845 W. Hillsboro Blvd. Our ideal candidate is outgoing, self-driven, motivated, and hard-working. Responsibilities Our Customer Care specialists are the face of our clinic. Excellent phone and interpersonal skills are required. You must be compassionate and patient, and have the desire to work with Birds and Exotic species. Our customer care staff has a lot of interaction with our clients, taking history, handling the patients, and assisting with discharges. This is NOT just a desk job. You will be engaged with the clients, doctors and handling patients throughout the day. Starting pay is based on experience and potential. We also offer a benefits package to full time employees. We do require Saturdays, and are open late on Tuesdays for surgery. Qualifications Multi-line high volume phone calls experience in customer care is preferred, but not required. previous experience in a veterinary clinic is also preferred, but not required. experience with practice management software (Ezyvet) a plus. Excellent typing skills and accurate spelling and punctuation. Basic math skills, ensuring accurate calculations We function as a team, and this is a varied position that involves interacting with the clients, patients, Doctors, and fellow employees in a high-stress but fun environment.
