Job Description:
The Diagnostic Imaging Service at the University of Florida Veterinary Hospital is seeking a highly organized, detail oriented Diagnostic Imaging Service Representative to provide administrative and clerical support for the service. This role functions primarily as an administrative assistant, supporting daily operations, compliance activities, medical record documentation, and staffing coordination. Responsibilities include maintaining imaging reports and data accuracy, providing customer service, answering phones, distributing and mailing reports, uploading images, verifying reports are filed correctly in medical records, and submitting work orders. The position manages the dosimetry badge program, ensuring students, staff, and faculty remain compliant with radiation monitoring requirements through accurate tracking, coordination, and record keeping. In addition, the role oversees scheduling for veterinary assistants and veterinary student assistants assigned to the service, ensuring appropriate coverage. Responsibilities include confirming hours worked and reviewing and approving time entries in the University of Florida timekeeping system in accordance with university policies. The ideal candidate is a dependable self starter with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Success in this role requires initiative, problem solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team oriented environment while demonstrating genuine care for people and animals.
Expected Salary:
$17-$19/hr Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent and three years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
