As a small animal practice, we seek a skilled communicator and a team player to fill the role of veterinary receptionist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
Client Interaction:
Greet and welcome clients and their pets with a warm and professional demeanor.
Communication Management:
Answer phone calls and emails, schedule appointments both over the phone and online, and manage the appointment calendar efficiently.
Check-In and Check-Out:
Facilitate the check-in and check-out process for clients, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely payment processing.
Information Provider:
Offer information and answer questions regarding veterinary services, procedures, and pricing.
Reception Area Maintenance:
Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room.
Team Coordination:
Collaborate with veterinary technicians and veterinarians to ensure a smooth patient flow.
Client Care:
Address client inquiries, complaints, and concerns in a professional manner.
Qualifications:
We are seeking a team member with experience in the veterinary field, including but not limited to:
Veterinary Experience:
Minimum 2 years of previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care facility is required.
Animal Husbandry Knowledge:
Familiarity with animal husbandry practices.
Pet Care Procedures:
Understanding of grooming, bathing, and nail trimming procedures.
Handling Skills:
Ability to manage dogs of all sizes and temperaments.
Laboratory Knowledge:
Basic understanding of laboratory procedures and sample collection techniques.
Terminology Proficiency:
Competence in veterinary terminology to communicate effectively with clients and staff.
Critical Care Knowledge:
