Job Description
Overview We are seeking a friendly and organized Salon Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for clients, manage appointments, and ensure a smooth and welcoming salon experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong customer service abilities, and familiarity with retail and cashiering operations. Bilingual skills are a plus to assist a diverse clientele. Responsibilities Greet clients warmly upon arrival and manage check-in/check-out procedures using POS systems Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments efficiently while maintaining an organized calendar Handle phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette, providing information about services and promotions Process cash handling transactions accurately, including cashiering duties Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area to ensure a professional environment Support sales efforts through effective communication skills and retail math techniques Assist with general administrative tasks as needed to ensure smooth salon operations Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales, customer service, or cashiering is preferred; supervisory experience is a plus Knowledge of POS systems and basic retail math principles Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve a diverse clientele effectively Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for transactions and inventory management Experience with merchandising, stocking, product demos, and upselling techniques is advantageous Demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism Prior experience in a salon setting is beneficial but not required Must be well-organized, personable, and able to provide exceptional customer service at all times
