Our team is committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality medical services to pets and their owners in a welcoming environment. Overview We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Receptionist to join our dynamic team. This vital role involves managing client interactions, coordinating appointments, and supporting the overall smooth operation of our hospital. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of veterinary terminology, and a passion for animal care. Duties Greet clients warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression for all visitors. Schedule appointments efficiently while accommodating urgent cases and client needs. Handle medical billing and collections accurately, including processing payments and insurance claims. Maintain organized patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy standards. Assist with administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, responding to inquiries, and managing correspondence. Support veterinary staff by coordinating laboratory tests, medication refills, and follow-up appointments. Manage kennel operations by overseeing animal care routines, ensuring cleanliness, and monitoring animal well-being. Facilitate pet care instructions and provide basic pet grooming or handling guidance when needed. Qualifications Previous experience in veterinary reception or a similar customer service role within an animal healthcare setting. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal handling techniques, and pet care procedures. Familiarity with medical collections processes and laboratory procedures related to veterinary medicine. Experience with animal husbandry, kennel management, and dog handling skills. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and appointment scheduling. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and compassion. Basic proficiency in veterinary critical care practices, animal restraint techniques, and aseptic procedures is preferred. $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
