Full-Time About Us Coastal Health Ortho is a growing orthopedic practice dedicated to providing exceptional patient care in a welcoming and professional environment. We are seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. Position Summary The Front Desk Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors. This role is responsible for greeting patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, managing phone calls, and ensuring an excellent patient experience. Responsibilities Greet and check in patients in a professional and friendly manner Answer and direct incoming phone calls Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments Verify insurance eligibility and obtain necessary patient information Collect copays and process payments Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system Coordinate with clinical staff regarding patient needs Handle general administrative and clerical duties Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous medical office or front desk experience preferred Orthopedic or specialty practice experience is a plus Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification preferred Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with computers, EMR systems, and Microsoft Office Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Paid time off Health insurance Retirement plan options Opportunities for growth and advancement Supportive team environment How to Apply Interested candidates should submit their resume and a brief cover letter detailing their relevant experience.
