We are seeking a friendly, professional, and detail-oriented Receptionist to join our busy ophthalmology practice. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming experience while ensuring smooth and efficient check-in and check-out processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist patients, clients, and visitors with professionalism and courtesy. Answer multi-line phones, direct calls appropriately, and respond to inquiries. Schedule appointments and verify insurance information as needed. Update and maintain patient and referral information in the electronic records system. Prepare and deliver marketing materials, updates, or announcements to referring offices when needed. Assist with front desk administrative duties and special projects as assigned. Represent the practice professionally at all times in the community and with external partners.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred. 1-2 years of experience in a front desk, referral coordination, or provider relations role. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Excellent organizational, multitasking, and follow-up abilities. Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong customer service orientation and communication skills. Bilingual skills preferred but not required.
