Full Job Description Essential Responsibilities:
Upholds, teaches and enforces FKPs Core Values. Utilizes AIDET/customer service standards and demonstrates FKP Standards of Behaviors. Performs all front desk responsibilities as requested in accordance with FKP policies and procedures. Schedule patients for all locations, making every effort to obtain accurate insurance and demographic information and communicate additions to the team Verifies and updates all demographic and insurance information on patients in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Confirms the patients' scheduled appointments. Scans all insurance cards/identification into the appropriate accounts in the EMR. Ensures Privacy Notices are completed and signed on every patient t Collect co-pays, coinsurance, deductibles, deposits, and/or past due balances. Explains FKP financial policy to patients ensures that patient signs the financial policy and discusses the patient's financial responsibility, including co-pays, coinsurance, deductibles, and payment needed at time of visit. Refers patients to Revenue Cycle Management, -billing department via POD supervisor for assistance as appropriate. Maintains cleanliness and supply inventory in the front office area. Complies with all OSHA and HIPPA policies along with all policies and procedures established by FKP Demonstrates behavior that is professional and commensurate with the position and is in accordance with FKP Core Values and Standards of Behaviors. Demonstrate phone etiquette that is accordance with FKP Standards of Behaviors Maintains strict patient and employee confidentiality. Attends all mandatory staff meetings Other routine duties as assigned. This job description is not meant to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of tasks and responsibilities. Work Environment:
Extensive telephone and computer usage. Use of computer mouse requires repetitive hand and wrist motion. Regular reaching, grasping, and carrying of objects.
RequirementsEducation/Experience Requirements:
High School diploma or GED, medical assistant degree, diploma, or certificate with one year clinical experience preferred or two years' experience as a receptionist/customer service representative in an organization recognized for providing exceptional customer service. Has a broad understanding of physician office practice, preferably nephrology? Offers computer skills in various applications such as, MS Office Suite, PMD soft, Athenahealth and other applications/systems.

Ability to develop both tactical and strategic solutions to business challenges. 1. Knowledge of HIPPA regulations 2. Knowledge of Insurance carriers / copays / eligibility verification 3. Current basic computer skills, data input 4. Business office organizational skills 5. Good verbal and written communication skills 6. Team-work—can work with others and flexibility; works independently 7. Ability to adapt to change 8. Demonstrates patient caring and helpful attitude
