Front Desk Receptionist (Temporary to Hire) — Law Firm in West Palm Beach We are seeking a poised, professional, and clear-spoken Front Desk Receptionist to act as the first face and voice for a prestigious law firm specializing in real estate and foreclosures in West Palm Beach. This temp-to-hire opportunity requires a high degree of professionalism, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive attitude to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
Compensation & Schedule Pay Rate:
$22/hr to start; $23/hr upon permanent hireSchedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, no weekends Key Responsibilities 1. Reception & Client Service Act as the professional face of the firm by greeting all clients, vendors, and visitors with exceptional warmth and courtesy. Operate a multi-line phone system (approximately 20 lines) to answer and direct calls for the law firm (real estate and foreclosures) and a separate company in the building (Alzheimer's corp.). Manage a light volume of foot traffic, while ensuring a welcoming, memorable experience for every person who enters or calls the office. 2. Administrative & Operational Support Provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support to partners and staff. Sort and distribute all incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries. Monitor and oversee one attorney's email correspondence. Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the lobby, conference rooms, and kitchen area. 3. Legal & File Management Manage the calendaring of hearings and other critical events, ensuring timely entry of hearing information onto the calendar and notifying appropriate staff. Maintain client records and files, performing all labeling and filing in a 100% electronic, paperless environment (efiles).Growth Potential:
Will eventually be introduced to more advanced legal support tasks, including coordinating hearings and engaging in direct communication with clients.Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of recent experience in a client-facing or administrative support role is required. Previous experience working in a law firm, especially in foreclosure or real estate (RE), is a significant advantage.Technical Proficiency:
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook (for email and calendaring) and Microsoft Word. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (basics only, for organizational purposes—no coding or advanced functions). Familiarity with Google Sheets (basics only).Professional Attributes:
Clear-spoken, articulate, and accustomed to managing front-facing responsibilities and answering phones. Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively. Meticulous attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity.
