Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and personable Treatment Coordinator/Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic orthodontic team. This role involves coordinating patient treatment plans, assisting in orthodontic procedures as needed, and handling front desk responsibilities to ensure a seamless patient experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has excellent communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Treatment Coordination:
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, financial options, and insurance benefits.
  • Schedule and manage patient appointments efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation.
  • Serve as a liaison between patients, orthodontists, and insurance providers. Orthodontic Assisting (As Needed):
  • Assist the orthodontist with procedures such as placing brackets, taking impressions, and adjusting appliances.
  • Take and process digital X-rays and intraoral scans.
  • Maintain and sterilize instruments and equipment.
  • Ensure patient comfort and provide pre
  • and post-treatment instructions.
Front Desk Duties:
  • Greet and check in/out patients with a welcoming attitude.
  • Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and handle patient inquiries.
  • Verify insurance information and process billing/payments.
  • Manage patient records and ensure all forms are up to date.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • CPR certification required.
  • AED certification preferred.
  • EFDA (Expanded Function Dental Assistant) certification preferred.
  • Prior experience in orthodontics or dental assisting is a plus.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in dental practice management software is a plus.
