Job Description
Lead Glazier (Hands-on) Last Chance Glass - Weston, FL Last Chance Glass is a growing glazing subcontractor in South Florida. We are looking for a technical leader who leads by example—someone who has the expertise to manage a crew and the "hands-on" drive to jump into the installation whenever necessary to ensure the job is done right.
The Role:
As our Lead Glazier, you will be the bridge between the office and the job site. You will have the authority to lead crews while maintaining the ability to execute high-end installations personally, ensuring every project meets Florida's strict quality and safety standards.Key Responsibilities:
Site Leadership:
Supervise, mentor, and motivate installation crews to meet project deadlines.Active Installation:
Lead and perform the installation of impact-rated systems, storefronts, curtain walls, and commercial/residential glass systems.Quality Control:
Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings to ensure perfect alignment, sealing, and finishing.Logistics & Safety:
Coordinate materials and tools on-site.Communication:
Provide daily progress reports to Project Managers and maintain professional coordination with General Contractors (GCs) on-site.Requirements:
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of professional glazing experience (Required).Leadership:
At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or lead role.Technical Knowledge:
Deep understanding of Florida Building Codes, impact-rated systems, and commercial storefront/curtain wall systems.Blueprints:
High proficiency in reading blueprints and managing job execution from start to finish.Physical Ability:
Ability to handle heavy glass safely and work in a demanding construction environment.Languages:
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is strongly preferred.License:
Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.What We Offer:
