We seek a professional candidate with 1-3 years of office receptionist experience who will answer phones, perform scheduling tasks and provide support to our paralegal and attorney. The right candidate will help us maintain our reputation of outstanding client service. The hours are 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. This is a full-time position. Job Responsibilities Greeting clients and visitors and answering visitor inquiries Answering incoming calls Calling clients daily to notify them of their upcoming appointments and hearings Review of office voicemail several times a day Scanning, photocopying, faxing and filing documents Receiving and distributing all received mail Maintaining attorney calendar The candidate must have: Proficiency with MacOS Pages, Microsoft Word or similar word processors Excellent verbal communication skills 2+ years of related office experience (law firm experience a plus but not required) Excellent front desk poise and presence Ability to work both independently and with others Positive, upbeat attitude Dependability The ideal candidate will have: Familiarity with legal terms and an understanding of various office forms and legal documents Office, Legal, or personal injury/first party insurance experience Education A high school diploma or GED is required Personal Traits Legal assistants are often a visitor's first contact with our firm. Therefore, a professional appearance and polished demeanor are very important. Advancement Opportunity If you excel on the job you may be promoted to another position within the firm such as a paralegal or case manager.
