Job Description

Bilingual Receptionist Hope Health & Wellness Center Job Category Administrative/Clerical Overview Description As a Medical/Chiropractic Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office and front desk. You will support the doctor and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The Chiropractic Assistant's responsibilities include answering e-mails and phone calls, scheduling appointments, and welcoming patients. You will also be required to assist with occasional clinical work, including the administration of diagnostic assessments. To be successful as a Chiropractic Assistant, you must be able to work with sensitive patient data and maintain confidentiality. You should also be able to multitask without sacrificing accuracy in your work. Top candidates will be detail-oriented and service-driven. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner. Responsibilities Interview patients and document basic medical history Organize and schedule appointments Update and file medical records and insurance reports Greeting and welcoming patients upon arrival. Ensuring that the waiting area remains in excellent condition at all times. Answering phone calls and responding to e-mails. Collecting and recording patients' personal and medical information Verifying payment methods, including patients' health insurance coverage. Tracking and ordering inventory. Preparing treatment rooms prior to appointments, as needed. Administering screening assessments, such as blood pressure tests, as needed. Assist during medical examinations Handle receivable and payable accounts and keep financial records Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments Skills/Requirement High school diploma or equivalent Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work Proven working experience as a medical assistant or medical secretary Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures Bilingual (preferred, not required) 2 years plus administrative experience, preferably within a healthcare setting
