Front Desk Associate - Dry Cleaners

About Us Sunrise Cleaners is a locally operated dry cleaning business dedicated to providing high-quality garment care and excellent service to the Decatur community. We are looking for a reliable and friendly Front Desk Associate to be the first point of contact for our customers and help keep our daily operations running smoothly. The Role As our Front Desk Representative, you will manage the intake and outtake of customer garments. Your primary focus will be ensuring accurate tagging, processing transactions, and providing a welcoming experience for everyone who walks through our doors.

Key Responsibilities Customer Service:

Greet customers warmly, answer questions regarding services or turnaround times, and handle inquiries over the phone or in person. Order Intake (Drop-offs): Receive garments, carefully inspect items for existing damage or specific stains, and accurately input instructions into the point-of-sale (POS) system.

Garment Tagging:

Securely and accurately tag all incoming clothing to ensure items are tracked correctly throughout the cleaning process. Order Outtake (Pickups): Efficiently locate and retrieve cleaned orders for returning customers.

Payment Processing:

Handle cash and credit card transactions, provide receipts, and maintain an accurate cash drawer.

Store Maintenance:

Keep the front counter, waiting area, and garment storage racks clean, organized, and safe. Requirements Strong communication and interpersonal skills. High attention to detail (essential for accurately tagging and tracking garments). Comfortable using basic computer systems and point-of-sale (POS) software. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently during busy shifts. Ability to stand for extended periods and comfortably lift or move moderate loads (e.g., large bags of laundry). Previous customer service or retail experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.

Pay:

$14.00 - $18.00 per hour
