SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of the Deputy Superintendent
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance. 2. Greets visitors and callers, handle their inquiries, and direct them to the appropriate persons according to their needs. 3. Answers telephone and gives information to callers, takes messages, or transfers calls to appropriate individuals. 4. Assists visitors entering the office area. 5. Maintains confidentiality. 6. Maintains office files and records. 7. Arranges conferences, meetings, and travel reservations for office personnel. 8. Completes forms in accordance with company procedures. 9. Composes, types, and distributes meeting notes, routine correspondence, and reports. 10. Mails correspondence, newsletters, promotional material, and other information. 11. Maintains scheduling and event calendars. 12. Makes copies of correspondence and other printed material. 13. Opens, reads, routes, and distributes incoming mail and other material, and prepares answers to routine letters. 14. Schedules and confirms appointments for clients, customers, or supervisors. 15. Maintains paper and electronic filing systems for records, correspondence, and other material. 16. Takes dictation in shorthand or by machine, and transcribes information 17. Collects and disburses funds from cash accounts, and keeps records of collections and disbursements. 18. Conducts searches to find needed information, using such sources as the internet. 19. Coordinates conferences and meetings. 20. Manages projects and contributes to committee and team work. 21. Operates electronic mail systems and coordinates the flow of information both internally and with other organizations. 22. Orders and dispenses supplies. 23. Reviews work done by others to check for correct spelling and grammar, ensures that company format policies are followed, and recommends revisions. 24. Operates office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, and phone systems, and use computers for spread sheet, word processing, database management, and other applications. 25. Works well with administrators, teachers and staff. 26. Assist Registration staff as needed. 27. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate Degree or above preferred Bilingual preferred Computer skills
EQUIPMENT
Uses standard office equipment such as personal computers, printer, copy and fax machines, and telephone.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Routine physical activities associated with a typical office setting. Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling and repetitive fine motor activities. Vision, hearing and verbal communications are essential functions of this position.

Maintenance of criminal history checks is required for all employees.
