Job Description
We are currently looking for a dedicated, dependable, and experienced Reception Lead to join our growing dog daycare and boarding team. This position is extremely important to the day-to-day flow of our facility, as the Reception Lead serves as one of the first and last interactions our clients have each day. We are searching for someone who genuinely loves dogs, enjoys building relationships with people, and can confidently manage a busy front desk environment while helping support the rest of the team. Our ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting, communicates professionally and kindly, stays organized under pressure, and takes initiative without needing constant supervision. This role is more than simply answering phones or checking dogs in and out — we are looking for someone who can help lead the front desk, create a welcoming environment for pet parents, assist with daily operations, and help ensure everything runs smoothly throughout the day.
Daily Responsibilities Include:
Greeting clients and their dogs in a warm, friendly, and professional manner Managing daycare, boarding, and grooming check-ins/check-outs efficiently Answering phone calls, texts, emails, and client questions throughout the day Scheduling reservations, evaluations, meet-and-greets, and services accurately Monitoring vaccination records, feeding instructions, medications, and daycare notes Assisting with customer concerns or special requests in a calm and professional way Helping maintain organization and communication between the front desk and kennel/daycare staff Supporting management with daily operational tasks and team coordination Maintaining cleanliness and professionalism within the lobby and reception area Ensuring clients feel informed, comfortable, and confident leaving their pets in our careWhat We're Looking For:
Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong multitasking and organizational abilities Leadership qualities and the ability to help guide the front desk team A positive attitude and strong work ethic Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail Confidence working in a busy environment with constant activity and noise Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful situations Previous receptionist, management, customer service, veterinary, boarding, or daycare experience is preferred Must be comfortable working around dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about animal care and wants to be part of a team that prioritizes safety, cleanliness, communication, and exceptional client experience. We are looking for someone who can help create a positive atmosphere not only for our clients and their pets, but also for the staff working alongside them every day. Weekend and holiday availability may be required. Medical benefits and paid time-off available for full-time employees after 3 months with approval from owner.Job Types:
