Job Description

Since its beginning in 1857, Carlsmith Ball LLP continues its tradition of providing top-notch legal services to a wide range of local, mainland, and international clients. As a multi-service law firm with offices located on Hawaii Island, Maui, and Oahu, we practice in a variety of areas including Real Estate and Land Use, Corporate and Business Formation, Tax and Estate Planning, and Civil Litigation. We are seeking a professional Administrative Clerk for our Kona office to provide essential support to our legal team and valued clients.
Responsibilities include:
  • Greeting and directing clients and visitors to the proper area.
  • Answering and directing incoming calls.
  • Responding to requests from visitors and clients via phone in an efficient, professional, and courteous manner.
  • Assisting Paralegals and Legal Secretaries with various administrative tasks and projects such as copying, scanning, and compiling legal documents, filing correspondences, documents, and forms, updating lists, assisting with closing files, and other clerical duties as assigned.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Office/Clerical experience preferred. We are willing to train.
Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Client services oriented.
  • Organized with strong attention to detail.
  • A self-starter with the ability to seamlessly switch from one task to another, and handle multiple projects with deadlines in a timely manner.
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Able to work with general office equipment and phone systems.
