Job Description

Job Overview:
The receptionists are responsible for the waiting rooms in conjunction with our ambassadors (when available). They are in charge of answering the phone and responding to emails and texts in a timely fashion. They may need to answer questions that current dance families and/or potential dance families have, and communicate/check in with all families when ambassadors are unavailable. Receptionists will pair with ambassadors (when available) as the customer service department of the business and also help increase sales. Their other focus is to complete admin tasks as assigned by coordinators, managers, and director.

June 8, 2026-August 7, 2026 (This is a summer starting position, with the potential for future opportunities in our 2026-2027 season.)
Location:
Cedar Falls, IA Responsibilities and Duties:
(subject to change) Complete basic reception tasks: answer phone, process payments, monitor/reply to emails, texts, and voice messages, be responsible for the waiting rooms and their "weather" in conjunction with ambassadors (when available), etc. "Man" the desk - receptionist need to be at the desk at all times Be knowledgeable on all ADC communication (newsletters, emails, policy handbooks, etc.) Work events: kickoff celebration, open houses, camps, picture days, tech rehearsals, recital, etc. Document new student inquiries Complete assigned weekly tasks on infinity: admin tasks, cleaning, inventory, etc. Align all work and behavior with the core values Attend and actively participate in monthly staff meetings Attend and actively participate in staff trainings Prepare the facility for opening and closing Greet customers and guests that approach the desk in a friendly and knowledgeable manner Have a growth mindset - welcome feedback Present growth opportunities for students/families (sales) Manage shoe orders Communicate any issues, notable events, or ideas with the coordinators/managers/director Attend staff retreat
Key Performance Indicators:
Customer survey results, enrollment per student average, spot check performance, timely and viable completion of admin tasks assigned
Pay Structure:
Turn in an invoice for time worked - paid hourly
Days/Times:
Our regular summer class hours are Mondays-Thursdays from 5:00-8:15pm. Specific receptionist schedules will be finalized based on studio needs and receptionist availability.
