Job Description

As a front desk receptionist you are the first point of contact for patients and visitors in a healthcare setting, responsible for greeting, directing, and assisting them. This role involves a mix of administrative and customer service tasks, including scheduling appointments, managing patient information, and handling communications. They also play a crucial role in maintaining a welcoming and friendly, organized reception area and ensuring smooth clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Greeting and Assistance:
Welcoming patients and visitors, answering inquiries, and directing them to the appropriate areas or personnel.
Appointment Management:
Scheduling, confirming, and managing patient appointments, optimizing schedules for patients, providers.
Patient Information Management:
Gathering and updating patient demographics, insurance information, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Communication:
Answering phones, managing voicemails and emails, and relaying messages to clinical staff.
Administrative Tasks:
Data entry, scanning documents.
Financial Transactions:
Collecting co-pays, processing payments.
Maintaining Reception Area:
Ensuring the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming.
HIPAA Compliance:
Adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality.
Insurance Verification:
Verifying insurance coverage and eligibility using various electronic systems.
Required Skills:
Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.
Customer Service Skills:
Ability to provide friendly, efficient, and empathetic service to patients.
Organizational Skills:
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain organized records.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR), practice management software, and other relevant office technology.
Problem-Solving Skills:
Ability to address patient concerns, resolve issues, and adapt to changing situations.

Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, especially in a busy environment.
Teamwork:

Pay:
$14.00 - $17.00 per hour
