Receptionist

We are looking for a detail-oriented Receptionist to join our team on a contract basis in Batavia, New York. This role requires excellent organizational and communication skills to handle various clerical and administrative tasks effectively. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic work environment while ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities:

• Notify clients when their tax documents are ready for pickup and assist them at the window by handing over their packets.
• Scan clients' driver's licenses upon document pickup to ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Contact clients to gather any missing information needed for processing their returns.
• Electronically file completed tax returns using routing slips and ensure proper organization of documents.
• Retrieve client files as needed and assist with organizing and assembling tax packets, which may involve standing for extended periods.
• Lift and move boxes containing tax returns from the conference room, requiring comfort with bending and physical activity.
• Manage incoming calls efficiently, handling a switchboard with 1-10 phone lines.
• Archive and organize email correspondence to maintain orderly records.
