Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Front Desk Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our podiatry office. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of medical administrative procedures, and a commitment to providing outstanding patient service. This role involves managing patient interactions, coordinating appointments, verifying insurance information, and maintaining accurate medical records. The Medical Front Desk Receptionist plays a vital role in ensuring smooth clinic operations while upholding confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a welcoming environment for all visitors. Schedule appointments efficiently using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Verify insurance coverage and process insurance claims accurately. Collect and review patient documentation, ensuring completeness and accuracy for medical records management. Handle multi-line phone systems with courteous phone etiquette, addressing patient inquiries and routing calls appropriately. Assist with patient intake procedures, including collecting information and explaining clinic policies. Support medical administrative tasks such as appointment reminders, billing support, and documentation review to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage office supplies and ensure the front desk area remains tidy and well-organized to promote efficiency. Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth clinic operations and effective communication across departments. Experience Prior experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred. Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patients. Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing accuracy (10 key typing). Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
