This position services as the first point of contact for patients and helps maintains a professional, positive, organized and welcoming environment. Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to, greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner. Check patients in for appointments and notify staff of patient arrival. Verify and update patient demographics, insurance information and medication information. Ensure required forms and documentation are completed. Collect copays and outstanding balances. Schedule and reschedule appointments. Maintain a clean, organized and professional reception area. Required Skills include basic computer skills. High school diploma or equivalent. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical office environment. Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA regulations.
