Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome clients and their pets to the veterinary clinic
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the front desk
- Collect and update patient information in the computer system
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians/assistants with various tasks
- Handle financial transactions, including processing payments and managing invoices
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room
- Provide excellent customer service and address client inquiries or concerns
Requirements:
- Be able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Previous experience as a veterinary receptionist or in a similar medical customer service role is preferred
- Knowledge of basic animal care and handling techniques is preferred
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology and procedures
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in computer systems and software used in veterinary clinics
