Carr Island Animal Hospital•
Newburyport, MA Position:
Part-Time Veterinary Receptionist Schedule:
Tuesday-Saturday | 14-24 hours per week with potential for more in near future
Pay:
Based on experience•$20/hr+ ( open to negotiation for the right candidate) Are you an organized, friendly, and compassionate person who loves working with animals and people? Join our busy, welcoming veterinary practice where your role truly makes a difference for pets and their families every day. About the Role As the first point of contact, you'll help create a positive, supportive experience for every client who walks through our doors. Some experience with assisting techs/doctors with patients is a plus.
Responsibilities include:
Warmly greeting clients and managing check-ins/check-outs Scheduling appointments and handling phone/email inquiries Processing payments and maintaining accurate records Assisting with administrative tasks Supporting the veterinary team with client communication and coordination What We're Looking For Experience in reception, customer service, or veterinary settings preferred Strong communication and people skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Comfortable with computers (Avimark experience is a plus) A genuine love for animals and empathy for their owners Reliability and a positive, team-oriented attitude Why You'll Love Working With Us Competitive pay based on experience Consistent part-time schedule (14-24 hours/week) Supportive, friendly, and inclusive team environment On-the-job training and growth opportunities Staff discounts on veterinary services and products Meaningful work helping pets and their families If you're dependable, compassionate, and ready to be part of a team that truly cares, we'd love to hear from you!
