This role supports patient flow, prepares treatment areas, assists with non-clinical patient care activities, and helps create a positive and welcoming experience for all patients. Key Responsibilities Welcome patients warmly and prepare them for therapy sessions. Assist with patient intake, including collecting basic information and helping patients complete necessary forms. Answer phone calls professionally and direct inquiries appropriately. Schedule or assist with appointment coordination as needed. Assist therapists with non-clinical tasks and patient support activities. Guide patients through light exercises and strengthening activities as instructed by the Physical Therapist. Educate patients on the safe and correct use of therapy equipment. Apply therapeutic modalities such as heat packs, ice packs, and electrical stimulation under therapist direction. Assist patients with safe mobility and walking between treatment areas when needed. Observe patient responses and report progress, concerns, or changes to the Physical Therapist. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of treatment areas and equipment. Ensure therapy areas are fully stocked and prepared for patient care. Communicate effectively with patients, therapists, and administrative staff to support smooth clinic operations. Provide excellent customer service and contribute to a positive clinic environment. Required Skills & Qualifications Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Professional phone etiquette and customer service skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment. Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset. Basic knowledge of exercise and wellness principles preferred. Ability to follow instructions carefully and maintain patient confidentiality. Comfortable assisting patients with mobility and physical activities. Previous healthcare, fitness, or customer service experience preferred but not required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist patients throughout the workday. Ability to lift or move light equipment and supplies as needed. Work Environment Outpatient physical therapy clinic setting. Frequent interaction with patients, therapists, and administrative staff.
