This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse fabrication projects, utilizing advanced welding techniques and precision fabrication skills. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a passion for creating high-quality metal components. You will play a vital role in constructing, repairing, and assembling structures and equipment that meet strict safety and quality standards. Duties Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate and assemble metal components. Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding to join various metals including sheet metal, ductwork, and pipe systems. Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and machining equipment to cut, shape, and assemble materials. Conduct rigging operations safely to move heavy materials or assemblies on construction sites or manufacturing floors. Fabricate custom parts by cutting, bending, welding, and assembling metal pieces in accordance with schematics. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols at all times. Qualifications Proven construction site experience with hands-on fabrication work in industrial or manufacturing environments. Proficiency in MIG welding techniques; experience with STICK welding is a plus. Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Mechanical knowledge of pipe threading, and assembly procedures. Ability to perform basic math calculations necessary for measurements and fabrication tolerances. Experience operating forklifts or other lifting equipment; rigging skills are a plus. Knowledge of ASME codes & standards relevant to welding and fabrication practices.

Pay:

$25.00 - $28.00 per hour
