JOB GOAL:
The Agency Receptionist & Department Assistant will be the first point of entry for our clients. As such, a pleasant introduction to MCOP is a must, whether it is on the telephone or in person. The goal of this position is to assure that clients are provided seamless navigation through MCOP and have access to all agency programs and services.
DUTIES:
Receptionist will handle and process mail, faxes, all phone inquiries, and referrals Perform the initial intake process for incoming clients either in person or by phone and to assist in keeping records of those clients Screening of new/potential clients, explaining programs available to help meet client's needs Scheduling for food pantry, spirit of giving, and tax program appointments, as needed Evaluate client eligibility for tax programs and make appropriate referrals Client database entry for food programs and other departments upon request Assist with the Lord's Harvest Pantry and Diaper Bank programs on a regular basis as needed Makes copies of necessary records for agency as needed Participate in agency fundraising Comply with Federal Privacy Act Regulation General clerical duties, such as filing, typing, answering phones, etc. Other duties as requested by supervisor and/or other Department Directors
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or its equivalent, 2 years of office experience in a business or office setting preferred. Able to type 50 words per minute. Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel strongly preferred.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Regular full-time (40 hours per week) at MCOP Central Office, 1140 S. Telegraph Rd., Monroe, MI 48161.
