Barnes Jewish Hospital has an opening for a Office Clerk in the Environmental Services department. Full time-NIGHTS 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM Inbound calls and dispatching jobs/tasks to floor housekeeping staff as well as other duties Fast paced Epic & Dispatch experience is a plus! Overview Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is the largest hospital in Missouri and is ranked as one of the nation's top hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. Barnes-Jewish Hospital's staff is composed of full-time academic faculty and community physicians of Washington University School of Medicine, supported by a house staff of residents, interns, fellows and other medical professionals. Recognizing its excellence in nursing care, Barnes-Jewish Hospital was the first adult hospital in Missouri to be certified as a Magnet Hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Our Housekeeping Department consists of Custodians professionally trained to take exceptional care of people by ensuring a clean and safe environment. The role of the Housekeeping Department is to work in conjunction with Hospital Staff to maintain a clean, safe, and attractive environment for the patients, visitors, and employees. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Perform clerical/secretarial duties related to the operation of the department(s), as assigned. Responsibilities Types and distributes memos, correspondence and reports and composes documents as needed. Schedules meetings and appointments, routes correspondence. Greets visitors, answers and screens phone calls, transfers calls and takes messages. Organizes and maintains a system of files for the department. Tracks, organizes and maintains supply inventory for the department and orders fresh supplies as necessary.
