This individual creates a welcoming, professional environment while ensuring the front office operates efficiently. The Receptionist manages communications, supports daily school operations, assists with student attendance and records, and provides administrative support to school leadership. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-service oriented, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and committed to providing exceptional service to our school community. Essential Responsibilities Front Office Operations Greet and assist students, families, staff, and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner. Answer and direct incoming phone calls and emails. Maintain visitor sign-in procedures and ensure compliance with school safety protocols. Monitor front entrance and coordinate visitor access. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area. Administrative Support Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries. Maintain office supplies and place orders as needed. Prepare copies, packets, labels, and other materials for staff. Schedule meetings and assist with conference room coordination. Support school events and family engagement activities. Student Support Assist with daily attendance documentation. Process student arrivals, early dismissals, and parent check-outs. Maintain student records while ensuring confidentiality. Support enrollment and registration processes as needed. Communication Respond to routine parent and community inquiries. Route concerns to the appropriate staff member. Assist with school-wide communications, reminders, and announcements. Help maintain positive relationships with families and community partners. Operational Support Assist leadership with clerical and data entry tasks. Maintain filing systems, both electronic and paper. Support compliance documentation and recordkeeping. Complete additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED. Minimum of one year of receptionist, administrative assistant, customer service, or office experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Experience working in a school or nonprofit setting. Experience with student information systems (PowerSchool, Infinite Campus, SchoolRunner, or similar). Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
