Southaven, MS, 38671 Job Description We are looking for a receptionist to manage our front desk and to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. As a receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our church. The duties include offering administrative support across the organization, welcoming guests, and greeting visitors. You will also coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls. Key Responsibilities Pleasantly greet and welcome visitors. Assist visitors with sign-in process when meeting with administration. Answer, screen, and forward incoming calls. Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email. Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail/deliveries to appropriate recipients. Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk. Ensure receptionist area is clean and presentable with all necessary supplies. Perform administrative tasks using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and label creation software. Stuff and label envelopes for large mail-outs. Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, and faxing. Other duties as assigned. Requirements and Skills Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers). Professional attitude and appearance. Solid written and verbal communication skills. Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise. Excellent organizational skills. Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks. Customer service attitude. High school degree or equivalent. Reliable and flexible, as the operation of the church depends on this role. Ability to pivot is critical as church activities fluctuate. Work Schedule The required hours are every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM or until all activities end. In addition, the candidate must work a minimum of 2 Saturdays and 2 Sundays a month with varying work hours. ```Similar remote jobs
