Job Description
Where You'll Work CHI Carrington Health, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed by the alignment of Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health, have a variety of skills from clinical to project management. In our Critical Access Hospital, you will be exposed to the emergency department, acute care (Med/Surg), swing bed, surgery, outpatient treatment, and so much more! Job Summary and Responsibilities As a Clinic Receptionist, you will be the welcoming heart of our clinic, creating a comforting and efficient environment for every patient journey.
Every day, you will expertly manage patient reception, coordinate essential administrative tasks, leverage technology for seamless operations, and thoughtfully guide diverse patient populations, ensuring they feel at ease and understand their care instructions.
To be successful in this role, you will possess exceptional interpersonal skills, technological proficiency, genuine compassion for patient well-being, and an adaptable, patient approach to facilitating a positive experience for all. What you'll do... Establishes and maintains effective working relationships and outstanding customer service skills. Performs patient check-in at the time of the visit, interviews patients and completes all paperwork necessary to ensure the admitting process is efficient and all clinic and regulatory policies are in compliance. Copies/scan patient medical records, benefits/insurance information, and related hardcopy materials (e.g. ID, referrals, insurance cards, etc.) into the correct location in the electronic medical record system. Collects patient responsibility payments and answers routine patient insurance and billing inquiries. Answers phone calls, schedules appointments, ensures insurance coverage, and alerts patients as to what documentation is needed, including details associated with time-of-service payment schedules. Job Requirements High School Graduate or equivalent Two years of experience in a health care setting involving customer service to become knowledgeable in practices involved in patient admissions and financial counseling, billing and collections and/or coordination of services related to insurance verification and patient information or or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience Experience with Meditech, Allscripts, Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
