Job Description

Where You'll Work CHI Carrington Health, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed by the alignment of Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health, have a variety of skills from clinical to project management. In our Critical Access Hospital, you will be exposed to the emergency department, acute care (Med/Surg), swing bed, surgery, outpatient treatment, and so much more! Job Summary and Responsibilities As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.

Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans. Provides professional and compassionate patient care to all age groups. Performs and documents assessments as stated on Patient Care Plan and/or as patient condition requires, i.e. admission system assessment, vital signs, intake and output, ADLs, etc. Ensures health history is completed upon admission using information from the patient or patient's family. Accesses previous medical records as needed to obtain an accurate patient history. Accurate health history includes a current list of medications the patient may be using that includes prescription medications, over the counter medications, as well as herbal supplements. Individualizes Patient Care Plan on admission, and as needed, or every 24 hours to accurately reflect current patient needs. This ensures that interventions or referrals are made promptly, particularly when exceptions occur on patient care guidelines. Identifies discharge planning/education needs as early as possible upon admission, documents and plans in order to meet those needs. Provides patient care, which is appropriate to the patient diagnosis, symptoms, and provider orders, following hospital policies and procedures. Job Requirements Registered Nursing degree from an approved school of nursing. Registered Nurse (RN) Licensed by the state of North Dakota. Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) to be obtained within six (6) months of start date. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within six (6) months of start date. Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) within six (6) months of start date.
