Job Description

Position Summary:
The Receptionist for Vermeer High Plains will be responsible for assuming the clerical and administrative duties that are essential to supporting the company and creating order and efficiency. They will be responsible for greeting guests and answering phone calls, handling customer inquiries, assisting with accounting projects, and disseminating information to relevant parties in the company. The Administrative Assistant must be extremely detail oriented and organized in order to properly manage the administrative side of the company, while still having great interpersonal and time-management skills.
Essential Job Functions:
Answer telephones and give information to callers, take messages, or transfer calls to appropriate individuals. Greet visitors or callers and handle their inquiries or direct them to the appropriate persons according to their needs. Schedule and confirm appointments for clients, customers, or supervisors. Assist with the accounts payable process and other accounting projects as assigned. Manage paper or electronic filing systems, recording information, updating paperwork, or maintaining documents such as attendance records, correspondence, or other materials. Frequently check the levels of office supplies and office equipment condition and place appropriate orders to replenish stock or fix equipment. All other duties as assigned.
Preferred Talents:
Familiarity with office organization and optimization techniques. Experience setting up and maintaining filing systems. Extremely detail oriented. Ability to use standard software programs or learn new systems quickly.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience in an office setting preferred. One (1) to two (2) years of experience in accounting or accounts payable preferred. Fluency in both English and Spanish is preferred but not required

Working Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to indoor conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may increase to a loud volume.
